Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to players developing strong opinions on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

With numerous of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just make them worry more about others.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
