🔗 Share this article The Streaming Platform is Producing a Far Cry TV Show from the Producers of the Alien Series and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The newest action-packed instalment that audiences experienced was Far Cry 6, that featured Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, and came out during October 6, 2021. As a series, it is famous for celebrating violence and mayhem with the same enthusiasm, all while weaving captivating, ideologically themed stories. It’s no surprise that the network’s new order for a Far Cry seasonal program brought on board two producers whose work have exemplified all of those elements. What to Expect Based on Ubisoft's successful video game property, the limited anthology series will stream on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The show will also parallel the video games' structure by featuring a new location and cast of characters in subsequent series. Creative Minds Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as showrunners on the series through their production banners, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. “FX has had excellent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are thrilled that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a news release. “I have no doubt that they will deliver this story in a way that is innovative, engrossing, and wildly entertaining. We also want to acknowledge our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this cherished property.” What’s Next Mac will also appear in the show, but currently, we do not know what role that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just approved for more episodes, with FX and Disney agreeing to a new overall deal with the creator. “Having the opportunity together with Noah Hawley is a goal achieved,” remarked Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been incredibly generous, placing faith in us with one of the most iconic video-game universes ever created. And along the way, my FX family constantly supports me with their constant belief and backing.” “What I love about the Far Cry game franchise is that it’s an anthology program. Every instalment is a take of a idea, the same way every series of Fargo is a version on a premise,” noted Hawley. “To develop a large-scale action show that can shift from year to year, while always delving into the essence of humanity through this multifaceted and unpredictable perspective, is a long-held aspiration. I’m excited to work with Rob and bring our mutual irreverent, daring style to the audience.” A release window for when we can expect the new Far Cry show has remains undisclosed. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
