This step is part of the EU's forthcoming ban on purchases of fuels processed from Russian petroleum, which forms part of its latest restrictive measures against Moscow over its war in the region. Market analysts observed that investment patterns appeared to be factoring in the potential reduction of Indian imports of Russian oil.
